Item Details

Description

French, late 19th century. A Louis XV style porter's chair, having an upholstered dome, crested with a carved flower bouquet, the frame carved with acanthine foliage and rosettes, with fauteuil arms, beaded supports, and a carved seat rail, on incurvate legs carved with flowers and terminating in cuffed feet. Upholstered in beige fabric with a removable seat cushion. Approximate height 55", width 29", seat depth 23", seat to floor 20".

Condition

Wear commensurate with age and use. Fabric is worn and pilling in spots - needs to be reupholstered. Some minor worming and staining to wood, with areas of loss to stain. Seam separation. No other visible signs of damage or repair. Prior to bidding, please consult the additional photos provided and ask all pertinent questions (i.e. condition, size, etc.).
