Description
Continental, late 19th century. A pair of figural allegorical Neoclassical patinated metal wall brackets, each with a serpentine shelf with a beaded edge, one depicting Fortuna, clothed in a swagged drapery with one hand on a globe and the other clenching a map, the other depicting Saturn, similarly clothed in a drapery, with a scythe in one hand and a rod in the other, each surrounded by scrolled acanthus foliage. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 13.125", width 14.475", depth 5.875".
Condition
Some minor surface wear. Minor roughness to patina. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
