Description
A watch commemorating the building of Mayflower II in 1956. Gold plated case in the form of a commemorative medal. Signed manual wind Piaget calibre 9P1, numbered 727767. Black dial with baton hour markers. 40mm. Together with a medal commemorating the sailing of the May Flower II in 1957.

Piaget calibre 9P1 fitted to this lot is one of the company's most well know creations. Introduced in 1957, this mechanical movement only measures 2mm thick and has cemented Piaget's reputation for high quality ultra thin micro mechanics.

Condition
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches.
  • Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing.
  • Glass is missing.
  • Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Inner case bezel is loose.
  • Hinges appear intact.
  • Crown has light scratches and marking.

    Please note that we do not believe this to be an original Piaget piece.

    This lot comes with a generic ring box with light general wear but no papers. It also comes with a medal commemorating the sailing of the May Flower II in 1957.
