Description
Chinese, 20th century. A pair of famille verte style hand painted porcelain15.5" plaques, each housed in a carved rosewood frame, each depicting a courtly scene in a garden. One with large crack and repair to center. Unmarked. Each framed approximately 15.5" X 20.75". Each sight size approximately 9.75" x 14.75".
Condition
Not examined out of frames in order to protect current condition. Residue and grime to both panels. Two major cracks to one panel; adhesive repair visible with and without black light. One with wear to upper and lower corners. Frames with surface abrasions (scattered; not distracting).
