Description

French, mid 20th century. A pair of carved walnut Louis XV style fauteuil chairs, each having a curved crest rail accented with a floral bouquet, over an upholstered back, with two fauteuil arms, an upholstered seat, with a serpentine seat rail with carved flowers, with four incurvate legs, each accented carved flower knees atop a whorled foot. Each upholstered in beige velvet accented with brass tacks. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 34.75", width 23", seat depth 17.75", seat to floor 17".
