Description
Porcelain with blue underglaze und enamel color. China, vermutl. late Qing dynasty to Republic, 19th – approx. 1st half 20th cent.Especially decorative painted vase with dragon handles and unusual form. Lower area is cup shaped, shoulder above is slanted like a roof, the throat with lipped edge. Humorous painted dragons on throat. Compact design with tendrils, blossoms, areas divided by many leiwen meander or ruyi symbol borders. Also fine painting on the white porcelain: Unfenced terrace with rocks, bamboo, pines, seven boys some are drumming and making music, some are dancing and waving flags symbolizing the birth of "many boys rising and living long". On bottom in six character mark in seal script Da Qing Qianlong nian zhi. Very good condition.HEIGHT 20,4 CMFrom a German private collection
