Pair of Qing Dynasty unique Chinese dry gourds artwork carving, with its bulbous body, with wooden banded rim and foot, capped with elaborately dragon motif carved dome cover, crowned with a pinnacle finial. The body carved in shallow relief of a vigorous dragon whirring in pursuit of a flaming pearl amidst flames and clouds against scales motif diaper. The spherical neck and rim carved with key fret and ruyi lappets patterns. The gourd shows attractive reddish-brown tones.

Mark on base, a carved four seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, GuangXu Reign Period.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition. Some stress of wear. Natural wood imperfection, wood joint mark, minor scratches and dents. Normal consider ages and wears.
