Description
A rare piece of theater and literary history, the original souvenir book from the wildly popular, first-ever stage production of the play, Peter Pan, by J.M. Barrie. Barrie first told the story of the boy who could fly in play form, where, in its New York run, the young Maude Adams, came to define the role. This souvenir book, officially titled, Charles Frohman Presents Maude Adams in J.M. Barrie's Play, Peter Pan, was published in 1907. Sixteen pages, with photos from the production on every page, including images of Captain Hook, the pirates, and many photos of Maude Adams, for whom J.M. Barrie essentially rewrote the role after its London run.
