General Chen Qi, aka Chen CangQuan (1912-2000), Chinese ink calligraphy couplet on paper. Each with four characters horizontal inscription, normal script, signed by artist, Chen CangQuan, initialed two iron-red signature seals. Black ink on rice paper. Both set behind glass, wooden framed.

From the collection of General Chen Qi (陳淇) (1912-2000), who styled himself as “Cangquan” (滄泉）and “Yuquanshanren”（玉泉山人), an artist, calligrapher, a prominent businessman and private antiques collector.
