Ming Dynasty Chinese porcelain round vessel with dome cover, raised on footed base, with rounded cavetto to a cylindrical wall. The exterior having liver-reddish-brown underglazed background in reversed design hand painted over dragon and phoenix motif to reveal pale-yellow ground, interspersed by bands of floral patterns. The interior rim remain unglazed, revealed pale-creme ground with grayish firing marks. The interior remain plain white underglazed.
Mark on base, a six blue script -KaiShu- characters reign mark, LongQing Reign Period.
