Antique Chinese high valued zitan table screen. Constructed with three vertical rectangular panels, with arched crest top, elaborately carved in detail relief with imperial dragons motifs, interspersed within dense of tumultuous swirling waves. Adorned by numerous frames works on each sections with grains patterns. Displayed in elaborately carved hardwood, formed by two scrolled feet, from which rise vertical posts flanked on either side with stylized dragon motifs above patterned lappets pedestal. The zitan wood display smooth lustrous dense hardwood with dark purple-brown patina and feathery fine grain. The deep carving is expertly done in detail, giving three dimensional appearance yet smoot to the touch, displayed a masterpiece of works on this valued dense zitan wood material.
