Black Forest Carved Lift Top Sewing Stand. Pierced carved hinged lid with oak leaves, branches, acorns and a serpent, oval center panel with scene of 3 wolves hunting a horse in the forest; the lid is hinged over 2 hinged wooden covers over interior open storage compartments. Has figural birds heads at the corners with carved wood chains hanging between their beaks, the base has carved claw feet. Enhanced original finish, lid has a split and repair, bird heads have been reapplied, corbels under the box have repairs and has worm damage throughout the base. 30.75 in. high x 16.25 in. wide x 14.5 in. deep.
