A elegant vintage Baume et Mercier ladies wrist watch, in 9Kt gold, Switzerland, circa 1960. This stunning piece has been beautifully crafted out of 9 karat yellow gold. It has an elegant gold face and baton numerals. The finely patterned band has been finished with a complementary fold over, adjustable, clasp. The watch is in excellent condition with all its original parts inside and out and keeping very good time. It weighs approximately 20.95 grams and measures 7.44 inches (18.89 cm) long by 0.31 inches (0.8 cm) wide across the band and 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) wide across the face. Just the crystal measures 0.51 inches (1.3 cm) by 0.31 inches (0.8 cm). The watch face is marked Baume. The strap is hallmarked DS & S, 9, 375 (confirmed with acid testing) and the inner case also has the London city mark, the letter E (year mark for 1960) and Baume 11796.
