Description
This Japanese Arisaka Type 99 7.7x58mm Rifle still has the Hard to find intact Imperial Mum which is a chrysanthemum with 16 petals (the symbol of the Japanese Emperor) was usually stamped on the receiver of rifles manufactured for the Imperial Japanese Army, indicating that the rifle belonged to the Emperor. It has the original case as well!! This is a Nagoya Arsenal Series 5 Serial # 16937 from 1923-1945. It was not a surrendered weapon as the Imperial mark is still intact and those turned over at the end of the WWII all had the Mum removed. A rifle with an intact 'mum implies that it was a battlefield capture prior to the end of the war. Numbers Matching in all 3 locations found #937...very nice looking condition with age as seen in photos....Good Luck!
