Description

Rare, Original 1968 "Initial Shock" poster designed by Mari Tepper, July 3, 1968, Straight Theatre, San Francisco, CA. Poster is hand signed by artist Mari Tepper along the bottom right edge. Other performers included Allmen Joy, Indian Head Band, and Phoenix. Listed in the Art of Rock book as Catalog No. AOR-2.223. This is an original first printing on white vellum. Large size, approx. 17-7/16" x 23". Lower left corner is marked "The Bindweed Press, San Francisco". Backof poster has large stamp "INTIAL SHOCK...Personal Management Jerry Read...". Some edge and corner wear, light tanning along the edges, light edge tears and creases, and small pin holes at the corners. Poster is archivally taped with 3 piecesto a thick board, and will be removed and shipped rolled to the winning bidder. Very rare poster!!
