The appearance of the female act in connection with the bath house became a popular motif in Renaissance and also in subsequent eras. The depiction is dominated by the muted coloring of the room, as well as the bright flesh tones of the bodies.

Condition:

The painting is in good, restored condition. Retouches can be found in the area of the figures. The surface was varnished newly. The panel is chambered minimal. Smaller traces of framing, as well as occasional blemishes are shown along the edges. The dimensions of the wood panel are 37.3 x 55.6 cm. The frame measures 37.3 x 55.6 cm. (bde)
