Description
A Sterling Silver partial flatware set by Whiting Mfg. Co., 28 pieces. In the "Lily of the Valley" pattern, including 11 place forks, 5 teaspoons, and 12 blunt hollow knives. Circa 1900. Minor wear. All knife blades are worn, damaged, or separated from the handles; nine forks and one teaspoon are engraved "Elaine" on the reverse with various dates. Forks 6 3/4" long; 4 teaspoons 5 3/4", and 1 other spoon, possibly a sugar spoon, 5 3/4" long. All sterling knife handles are 3 1/2" long, with metal blades 8 5/8" and 8 7/8" long. Up to 8 1/2" long. Totaling approximately 17.39 troy oz. weighable. ESTIMATE $400-600
