Germany, early 20th century, the rectangular brass box with a hinged cover and flip tab-covered key escutcheon with original key in a Middle Eastern-style with embossed stylized floral motif on top of lid and zig-zag pattern around perimeter of lid, the sides of the box ornamented with two bands of alternating triangles and circles, on disc-shaped feet, impressed "K.H.W. Wörle München / 65" (New Munich Arts and Crafts) on the underside. 2.75: H X 14.25" W x 11.25" D. Scattered verdigris and minor dents.
