Description
The lot features a worked and etched copper turtle traded by the Hudson Bay Fur Trading Co. to the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The piece is from circa 1800-1850 and shows the fleur de lis and crown hallmarks. The piece is worked copper in the shape of a turtle effigy with a brass accent on the top and a round copper worked coin having the "HB" Hudson Bay Co. hallmark. The piece shows overall good condition for being around 200 years old. The piece is on a strand of Northern Plains Native American Indian sea glass trade beads in white, yellow, and soft blue. The effigy pendant measures 3.75" x 6.75" and the necklace is 32" long.
