Maurice Tabard was a French photographer born in Lyon in 1897. He was one of the leading photographers of the Surrealist movement, working alongside his friend Man Ray. He later become a fashion and portrait photographer and went on to photograph important homes and well-known people, including future President Calvin Coolidge and his family.
