6 vol. in 8, first edition, large paper copy, complete with 264 etched and engraved plates and maps including some double, folding, and hand coloured, errata ff. in vol. 1 and 2 (both parts), publisher's advertisements in vol. 1, 3, 4 and 5, light scattered foxing, armorial bookplates to front pastedowns and free endpapers, later ink presentation inscription to front free endpaper of vol. 1, contemporary half calf, rebacked preserving original spines and lettering pieces, rubbed, extremities a little frayed, 4to, for T. Cadell and W. Davies, 1806-22. Provenance: 1. D. Higford D. Burr (1811-1885) MP and JP. 2. Urban Huttleston Rogers Broughton, Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966), presentation note in his hand, to 3. Sir Albert Richardson, P.R.A. (1880-1964), architect who designed Fairhaven's picture gallery in his Anglesey Abbey, Cambridgeshire, purchased in 1926, now propoerty of the National Trust.
