Neo-Classical Style French "Soldat Spartiate" (Spartan Soldier) Solid Bronze Candleabra Centerpiece - This piece is a neo-classical style, French candleabra centerpiece made of solid bronze. The piece is titled "Soldat Spartiate" (French for Spartan Soldier), by: Jean-Pierre Cortot (French, 1787-1843), and depicts a spartan soldier who is holding a goregous boquet of flowers, with six flowers that will hold candles. The bouquet has a lovely, gilt gold finish that accents the piece nicely. The piece shows wonderful attention to detail, and has a lovely, natural patina. The centerpiece measures 25"H x 16"W x 6"D (approximately). The title of the piece is incised on the front of the base.
