Fourteen Gorham "Buttercup" Sterling Silver Serving Pieces, the pattern introduced in 1899, Providence, Rhode Island, including three tablespoons, l. 8-1/2", a slotted tablespoon, l. 8-1/4", a cold meat fork, l. 8", a two-piece salad serving set, l. 8-3/4", a sauce ladle, l. 5-1/2", a tomato server, l. 7-5/8", a master butter knife, l. 6-3/4", a sugar spoon, l. 6", a jelly spoon, l. 6", and a cheese knife, l. 6-1/2", and cake knife, l. 10", both with stainless steel blades, no monograms, 24.55 total t. oz.
Condition
Overall Condition: Good. Surface scratches and minor dings throughout consistent with age and use, but otherwise in very good shape. Most pieces marked with the older "lion-anchor-G" trademark and patent date "1900"; one jelly server and the slotted tablespoon with the later "Gorham" mark and no patent date; the cheese and cake knives unmarked.
