American or English Regency Giltwood Convex Mirror, first quarter 19th century, the circular plate surmounted by a winged eagle crest and surrounded by an ebonized slip and a molded ball-applied frame with a pendant lattice-carved panel, h. 37", w. 23".

All elements in good condition, free from major damage, loss or restoration. The surface retains most of its original gilt, with scattered wear and rubbing commensurate with age. The spherules have had minor gilt touch-ups, as has the latticework drop panel at the bottom. It was likely once fitted with a finial.
