French Provincial Parcel-Giltwood, Metal and Crystal Eight-Light Chandelier, 20th century, the turned, carved and parcel-gilt standard set with scrolled metal candle arms set with molded glass drip pans and candle sockets, a row of glass flowers above the candle arms holding swags of glass prisms hung with drops, a spray of prisms at the top, h. 34", dia. 35-1/2".

The baluster-form stem has some (3) shrinkage cracks and scattered losses to its pigment and gilding. One of the bobeches is cracked with a chip to its edge. One of the smaller "connecting" pendant strings is in two pieces. Metal arms exhibit light oxidation. Chandelier is structurally sound - condition is as to be expected with age and use.
