An outstanding vintage original Paul Jacoulet Wood Block Print 'La Poetesse Indienne', signed on the lower right with a red butterfly chop mark, also signed by the artist in pencil “PAUL JACOULET”, titled “LE POETESSE INDIENNE”, and the printers chop mark in the margin, framed and protected by glass and features a beautiful young woman seated on a half wall among exotic flowers, with excellent attention to detail throughout. This work would make an important and impressive addition to any fine collection or household. Paul Jacoulet (1896–1960) was a French, Japan-based woodblock print artist known for a style that mixed the traditional ukiyo-e style and techniques developed by the artist himself. - SIZE: 15-1/4" x 11-3/4" (39 by 30 cm.)
