Exotic Dutch tulips in a clear glass vase are the subjects of this expertly painted 19th Century oil on DeVoe academy board painting. It is signed with the initials M.A., and is presented in a new custom gold-leafed wooden frame. The panel size is 15.5" x 11.5", and the frame is 18"x14" The painting is in a dark Tonalist style which was popular around 1880-1900, and the painting's proportions and style show that the artist most likely had European training. The DeVoe board is American.
