Antique cream and white dual arched shelf unit from the early 1900's. Ornate carving on the header above the two arches. Four layers of trim work add depth to the piece. The back and single shelf are covered in designer brocade fabric of pale blue background and urns with floral and mandolins as well as larger ewers filled with floral in cream and gilt thread give a soft iridescence to the fabric. Slight evidence of once having 2 shelves and changed to a single for a larger display area in both compartments. Excellent condition.A wonderful piece for sitting atop a chest,table,desk or buffet yet could also hang with addition of sturdy hardware. Measures 37.5 H X 35.5 L X 10.5 D.The top shelf opening is 20 H,the bottom 14 inches high.
