Handsome walnut burl table from Harrod's London,England C.early 1940's. Tag was attached on underside when purchased and lost during the container shipping. Scrolled top and apron with carving at the center front and on four knees of the shapely cabriole legs. The top flips open and slides to make a dining table or game table for 4. The top is a basket weave attractive design. Storage compartment beneath the top as seen. In excellent condition with beautiful hand rubbed finish.Works very well behind a sofa or against a wall when closed. Measures 47 L on the back top,44 L on the front top 19 D at deepest point, 18 at lowest. Closed the height is 30 1/4 , open 29 1/4 H X 38 D.
