Description
Qing dynasty, C.1644-1911 ,wooden hand carved Chinese temple screen from Beijing which is approximately 249 years old or C.1753. Upper portion and frame along with mid section of carving panels of elmwood. The lower panels of teak. This portion is the right section of the entire screen as seen with the hardware on the right side. Large enough to form a room divider or corner screen on it's own. Center raised hand carving panels are different on each of the three as well as the lower teak panels display different carvings. Brass hardware and hinges for the three panels.Thick 2 inch screen with solid wood on the back mid and lower portion. The pink wax customs seal is shown on the center of the left frame. Excellent condition. Additional photos available. Measures 85 H X 58.5 L X 2 D.
