Here is an original seascape watercolor by accomplished watercolor artist Ralph Acosta. It measures 34" x 20" and is nicely framed with a bio on the back. bio credit: www.mysticseaport.orgRalph is a New Yorker who moved to Stonington, Connecticut in 2005. He started drawing in his early teens and then taught himself to oil paint by doing portraits of family members and friends. To make a living, he began his career as a freelance display designer in New York City.Eventually, Ralph was introduced to the teachings of Edgar Whitney, a renowned water-colorist at the National Art League in Douglaston, NY. “He opened my mind to the freedom, transparency and spontaneity of watercolors.” After studying with Whitney for several years, Ralph was an instructor at the National Art League for 18 years.Ralph has performed many demos for numerous art leagues throughout Westchester and Long Island, NY and many plein air workshops, including in Puerto Rico along with a Northeast coast painting cruise.He is a member of Lyme Art Association, Old Lyme, CT; Mystic Art Center, Mystic, CT; Hudson Valley Art Association; National Art League, Douglaston, NY.
