TURBUTT WRIGHT
(1741 - 1783) Planter and political leader from Maryland, a delegate for Maryland in the Continental Congress, 1782. He was also appointed to the colony's Committee of Safety for the Eastern Shore. Manuscript D.S., 1p. 4to., [Maryland], Nov. 28, 1771. Acting as an executor for an estate left to an orphan. Wright and another man post their bond of one thousand pounds. Expertly inlaid, very good. Ex: Walter Benjamin.
