Literature: This lot accompanied by the book: John A. Daniel, ''Baranger: Window Displays in Motion'', Zon International Publishing, Santa Fe, NM, 2001. Note: South Pasadena-based Baranger Studios designed, manufactured and repaired their whimsical mechanical displays from 1925-1959. The displays were rented to jewelers and watchmakers on a monthly basis, and Baranger continued renting their pieces until they closed their doors in 1977.
