Item Details
Description
Attributed to Xavier Guerrero (Xavier Guerrero Saucedo Francisco, 1896-1974), who in partnership with David A. Siqueiros and Diego Rivera were pioneers of the early 20th century Mexican muralism movement. Thus, much later work of Siqueiros "Peasant Mother" (1962) although in a different media & foreshortening, still strongly resembles this powerful drawing.
