Bernie,” Sep. 22, 1938, with small newspaper clipping taped to same leaf related to him being treated for a stomach disorder with “Oct. 6” dateline); Congressman Jerry Voorhis; band leader Abe Lyman. Lionel Stander; Montana Congressman Jerry O’Connell; Robert Briscoe (first Jewish Lord Mayor of Dublin, sgd. From “Eire”); signer Buddy Clark; singer Helen Forrest and Arctic explorer Hubert Wilkins. A few signatures have a notation (“Rep.”) in another hand to indicate that they are a member of the House: Leon Sacks (Philadelphia); John M. Coffee (Tacoma, Wash.) and Thomas A.
