GRACE DRAYTON DOLLY DINGLE UNCUT & CUT PAPER DOLLS: Collection of antique ephemera; uncut and perfectly cut sheets of early 20th century Dolly Dingle Paper Dolls. Illustrator Grace Drayton (1877 – 1936, America) created the series. Drayton is considered a pioneer in the field of illustration. She developed the “Campbell Soup Kids” which were used in Campbell’s Soup advertisements along with the popular ‘Dolly Dingle Paper Dolls’ which were published in the magazine ‘Pictorial Review’ The following images are uncut from Pictorial Review - 1.) May 1927 – Dolly Dingle’s Boy Friend. 2.) April 1928 – Dolly Dingle’s Cousin Lindy. 3.) 2 sheets of July 1928 – Dolly Dingle Flies to China. 4.) March 1929 – Dolly Dingle’s Cousin Bill. 5.) August 1931 – Dolly Dingle – A Page for the Kiddies. 6.) March 1932 – Dolly Dingle. 7.) October 1932 - Dolly Dingle’s World Flight in Holland. 8.) Also including several perfectly cut elements, without folded tables. PROVENANCE: Carefully assembled over the course of many years by two leading collectors of paper goods and various ephemera.
