JAPANESE SATSUMA VASE / LAMP WITH BRONZE MOUNTS: Japan, 19th c., conversion to lamp 19th - 20th c., Satsuma ceramic vase mounted as a Lamp profusely glazed and gilded with two primary panels: one depicting the Emperor as a scholar standing on a terrace and admiring a porcelain 'Cracked Ice' vase while surrounded by attendants and the other depicting the Emperor as a warrior, dressed as a fighting Samurai, these alternate with panels of morning glories and peonies; all reserved on a richly patterned ground of geometric and floral design work, the whole supported by once gilt-bronze mounts, Total height with harp 23.5"h x 6.5"w, height to top of bronze mounts 12.375"h, also including a jacquard silk shade by Westwood by Kichler, 15.5"h x 10.75"h.
