Description
Rogers, Smith & Co (American, 1862-1877), third quarter 19th century. A silver plated covered satin glass jar on stand, possibly a sweetmeat caster, the circular stand in Aesthetic style raised on four ball feet and fitted with a glass jar, robin's egg blue shading to white decorated with yellow and white floral enamel, likely Webb or Mount Washington. The glass apparently not marked. The stand stamped underside ROGERS, SMITH & Co, NEW HAVEN CONN 97". The fork stamped "COMMUNITY SILVER TRIPLE PLATE". Approximate overall height 12", diameter 6".
