Description

A Pair of French Cassolettes. Painted and gilt porcelain urns with gilt bronze mountings Height: 10"

Condition

There is a light amount of pitting and tarnish to both. One lid sustains a 2" section of it's rim which has been damaged and poorly overpainted to conceal the damage. The other lid has a few spots where the enamel has been chipped off. Both have a .5" section running the perimeter of the interior (just under the inner rim) where it appears there is trim missing. There is evidence of hardened adhesive in this area on both. This does not effect the closure of the lid onto the body
