The dark blue field decorated with stems and flowers is largely covered by an ogival red-ground device enclosing a central medallion and attached points. This composition was part of the classic design repertoire of the Mohtashem group. The somewhat austere style of drawing, the finely coordinated colours and the velvety pile are characteristic features of these top-quality workshop weavings. – Slight signs of wear in the pile, both ends slightly damaged, restored upper right-hand corner, one small repair at the centre of the field.
