2011 NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL. Jimmy Buffett. Numbered from a limited edition print. painted by Garland Robinette. Flying in the distance is a parrot, prefiguring Buffett's ultimate destination of Key West, Fla. And if you look closely on the sidewalk behind the Falcon, you'll see the contemporary Jimmy Buffett walking into the future, glancing over his shoulder at the young man who would eventually catapult him to international acclaim." 2016 NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL - BB KING ! Jazz Fest 2016 Congo Square poster honors B.B. King. Bluesman B.B. King, who died in May 2015, has been memorialized in the 2016 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival Congo Square poster titled "The Thrill's Not Gone" by artist George Hunt. Hunt, who was born in rural western Louisiana, established his art career in Memphis. The title of the poster refers to one of King's signature songs "The Thrill is Gone." Hunt has depicted King as a giant in a symbolic blue suit, with his eyes pinched shut as he plays his beloved guitar Lucille. The maestro stands in a stark surrealist landscape surrounded by symbols of his career success in roadhouses, traveling music shows and radio. The sharply colored, energetic design matches King's blistering style well. MINT. Just under 24 x 36 from a LIMITED NUMBERED PRINT !
