Condition
Very rare first edition. The work, anonymous released, concerns the political and social conditions of France after the Seven Years' War, which had ended at the end of 1762. Letter dated 24 December 1762. The situation of France is compared with that of England who had laid the foundations of the empire created during the war years. Are criticized and evaluated very strictly the French rulers and even the people, in particular, the author speaks to nobility and intellectuals because they play an active role to renew political institutions and to re-educate the people. The lawyer Moreau, 1717-1803, Lord of Chambourcy, was a counselor at the court of Aix and historian of Queen librarian.Nice specimen.
