Antique Meissen cup and saucer set. Finest white porcelain. Hand painted scenes on both - young shepherd ladies, with a flock of sheep. Romantic manner. Matching border designs on both cup and saucer. Gilt accenting. The cup has a square handle, well ornamented. Marked on the bottom with an underglaze blue Crossed Swords and Star mark on both, which stands for the so-called "Marcolini period" (1774-1814). Measurements: Approx. Saucer: 5.5" diameter.
