Description

AN EARLY JAPANESE IRON CRAB AND MIXED METAL CUP, EDO/MEIJI PERIODS. Comprising an articulated iron crab with fully movable jointed legs (some pieces absent), and a very fine silver, copper and gold mixed metal cup of lotus form with gold figural crab applied to the interior and inlayed with gold chop. The crab overall length 5.5 inches (14 cm) (fully extended), the length 3.12 inches (8 cm).
