Description
This is a circa World War I M1915 French Army Artillery "Adrian" helmet. It comes to us from the estate of Lieutenant William Edwin Bown, a 397 T.M.U. (397 Transport Militaire Unite, Groupe Hemart) driver from East Aurora, New York who served in France with the unit for four months. Bown eventually settled in Exeter, New Hampshire. The helmet is painted in blue and has a large bomb insignia upon the front.

Very Fine. The helmet has scattered spots of medium wear; the chin strap is still attached but delicate.
