Description
(Disneyland, 1955) Incredibly rare hand-painted wooden sign displayed just below the front window of the Disneyland Tobacco Shop from 1955-1960. The sign comes from the estate of Henry Fenenbock, the original owner of the shop from 1955-1960. One of the few original lessees at the park, Fenenbock owned the Tobacco Shop, Coin Shop, Pen Shop, and Adventureland Bazaar and Cantina for the first five years of the park's operation. When Disneyland took over the leases in 1960, this sign was one of a handful of items that Fenenbock removed when he left. Measures 46.5"x9". In very good condition with cracking and paint chipping throughout. A wonderful artifact from the beginning of Disneyland.
