This beautiful white gold over bronze sculpture "Beloved" was artfully designed in the Art Deco style by Erte'. It is signed and numbered Artist Proof 33/37. She stands 17.5" tall and was purchased from the San Francisco Art Exchange in the 1980s. This sculpture was produced by the Joel Meisner Foundry. This piece has never been offered at auction and has had only one original owner. "Beloved" comes with her original Certificate of Authenticity.Romain de Tirtoff, known as Erté (1892-1990), was a Russian fashion illustrator and stage set designer, a master of the Art Deco style. Romain de Tirtoff was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, on November 23, 1892, of an aristocratic, musical family loyal to the tsar.
