A decorative, very colorful flat-weave or "Kilim" from NW Persia, with a compelling design consisting of stripes of color alternating with bands of simple design. The format is Classic for flat-weaves from this group. The condition is ok, there are a small repair (see detail image), and all the colors are derived from natural dyes. The bands of indigo are very nice with the variations of the dye bath ("abrash") evident as varying shades of blue are combined in one wide band running across the width of the weaving (see detail images). This Kilim is made to be used and can withstand medium to heavy foot traffic. SIZE - 6' 1" x 10' 2"
