A specimen consisting of a number of quartz crystals resting on a mass of sphalerite and pyrite, all of which covered with a druse of small calcite crystals, and all resting on a groundmass of intergrown quartz, galena, and pyrite, from Bulgaria. See Bonewitz, Dr. Ronald Louis, Rocks & Minerals, 2008, p.129, 219. 18cm, 4.72 kg (7"). Property of a Gloucestershire gentleman; inherited from his grandfather; found Rodopi Mountain region; collected 1930-1990 by the late Marin Savov of Pamporovo, Bulgaria. A fine mineral assemblage from a major orebody. [No Reserve]
