An unusual specimen of well-formed quartz crystals on matrix coated with a secondary growth of a chalky mineral, producing a 'frosted' effect, from Bulgaria. See Bonewitz, Dr. Ronald Louis, Rocks & Minerals, 2008, p.219. 3.7 kg, 27cm (10 1/2"). Property of a Gloucestershire gentleman; inherited from his grandfather; found Rodopi Mountain region; collected 1930-1990 by the late Marin Savov of Pamporovo, Bulgaria. [No Reserve]
